As a Trainee Technical Officer, you will be involved in all aspects of plant operation including loading and unloading of tankers, laboratory work, process monitoring including temperature and pressure checks, preventative maintenance, fault reporting, general plant operation and all other project work as required. Whilst completing this two year traineeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification; Certificate III in Process Plant Operations.     To be successful for this position it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, a positive and mature attitude, strong work ethic, and be mechanically minded. A current first aid certificate and forklift licence is desirable but can be attained on the job. A current drivers licence is essential.     Spare Parts / Warehousing Trainee - Griffith

  • GTES, together with a steel and engineering manufacturer in Canberra, are currently seeking applications from committed and hard working individuals interested in commencing a Boilermaker Apprenticeship, or transferring as a 2nd or 3rd Apprentice.

    As an Apprentice Welder, you will be required to assist in the preparation, measurement and cutting of metal components, interpret drawings and plans, and produce a range of metal fabricated products. This will require the use of an assortment of tools and fabrication techniques including MIG welding, stick welding and oxy cutting. You will also receive valuable on-site experience in steel and metalwork installation.

    To be successful in this position you must be reliable, mature-minded, willing to learn, able to show initiative, possess excellent problem solving skills and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the industry.
