  • In conjunction with our client, GTES are currently looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable person to take on the role of Apprentice Electrician in their busy local business.            

    In this position you will learn to plan the layout of wiring systems, test for, locate and repair electrical malfunctions, assemble and fabricate electrical and electronic components and appliances. The position involves but not limited to commercial, domestic, solar and rural. In return you will receive a Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician.

    It is essential that you will have completed your Higher School Certificate with good results in mathematics. You must also possess good communication skills, be well presented and remain loyal with the company into the future. Manual Drivers licence required.

    In this position, you will work alongside a team of skilled tradesmen to develop your skills in all aspects of the trade. You will have the opportunity to work on various vehicle makes and models, providing high exposure and the platform to gain versatile skills and knowledge.

    Duties within the role will include:

    • Servicing of engines
    • Repair of engines
    • Electronic diagnosis
    • Fault tracing
    • General mechanical repairs

  • GTES, in partnership with BSC, a bearing, power transmission and engineering supply company, are currently seeking applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in undertaking a traineeship in Warehousing/Spare Parts.

    As part of this traineeship you will be involved in the storage and distribution of parts, dispatching and receiving of stock, picking and processing orders, checking off and putting away stock orders, assisting with phone and counter sales and general housekeeping of the store. You will be required to process paperwork electronically and also make deliveries in the company vehicle when required. In return for your hard work you will be rewarded with an excellent career opportunity and a Certificate III in Transport and Logistics- Warehousing Operations.

    To be successful in this role you will have strong computer and math skills (good with numbers), be able to work unsupervised and take initiative.
